The laptop works without stalling in Safe Mode however, which may indicate that it is a driver issue. The NIC was my issue as well. I have been running my Dell Inspiron Mini for over 3 years wirelessly without issue. Was doing some maintenance on the device, decided an Ethernet connection would be best for downloading some items, and when I rebooted the error appeared.

I was sure I had downloaded some malware that screwed something up until I found this post. Started up with no issue. Thanks, after 2 days working on this issue I had tried everything except the integrated network card. This is the first time I see this error message in more than 20 years of IT work. It's a weird situation because the machine would boot Windows XP and a Linux distro from a live DVD without a problem and all diagnostics came out all right.

Windows 8. Thanks again. Browse Community. Remove From My Forums. Answered by:. Archived Forums. Windows Vista Hardware. Sign in to vote. I've been having a problem with Vista for the last 6 months or so in that occasionally the system will hang and I get the following error. THe only problem is once it starts, I can't reboot for about 30 minutes otherwise the problem will come up again and crash onto BS.

See that all the devices are properly fixed in your Motherboard and all wires bus are connected properly in the PC check you RAM and re plug them in slots. Check your power cables and see the Motherboard is not damaged anyhow. This problem is a hardware problem and you have to check all. And you will able to solve it. I hope this will help to solve problem. In the worse case, it might be damage but let's hope it wouldn't go that far. This test will determine whether one of your RAM is just dislocated or damaged.
