Thanks a lot I got it to work by using usb drive Appreciate the contact mate Much better than first answer.

Whole movie collections can get corrupted. For a lot of folks who do have content directly connected this can be a show stopper. The only real solution seems to be to roll-back an earlier firmware version as this was introduced in, I think, the last 2 latest firmware releases from WD.

I have been a member of this forum since the Plus model was released and have continued with FW 1. All the later versions of FW were buggy and is why I settled on the version I use in both players today and they work perfectly. BTW, the V versions are for the non-plus players.

Anyway here is the best that I can explain it:. About a month ago, the device started operating quite strangely when I was going through the file list to select a video file in my movie folder. The selection cursor continues to move over the file list, over rows, columns and even over to the next pages rapidly without stopping…!?

The remote commander intervention does not seem to interrupt this random behaviour, and system eventually settles down after several loops highlighting a random file. Once settled, the moment I start moving the cursor to any direction to select a file, the cursor starts running away like crazy out of control. This is so frustrating. Can you now see how weird this is…? Never seen exactly what you describe, but I would suggest your only option is to do a power reset.

Pull the power plug and let it sit for at least five minutes. You mentioned to attach a keyboard to the WD device. So, is it possible to attach a Bluetooth dongle to the front USB port and use a wireless keyboard…? Can anybody please help me.
